  1. The reaction conditions for (Z)-5-(4-methoxybenzylidene)thiazolidine-2,4-dione 4a are as follows: 2a (1 mmol), 3a (1 mmol), and catalysts (20 mol%) were irradiated under ultrasound irradiations at 80°C. The product was characterized by spectral techniques like IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectra. aIsolated yields after recrystallization.
